It has been a long time since I bought any restaurant.com gift certificates. All I remember is the amount of restrictions on it which is probably why I stopped.

If you go to tasks page and look on the right side of the page you will see a link that will take you to a list of restaurants in your area that accepts it.  I have 15 of the 50 dollars ones and I have not used any of them, LOL.  Maybe some day i will use one or 2.

Thanks for the useful info you all have shared.  I have 4 $25 certificates that I tried to used at a restaurant that we frequent.  We were told that we would only be able to use it if we ordered $50 worth of food.  No problem, we will try again the next time we go.

No and I don't think I will ever want to use a reward card from them.

I don't like that they call them gift certificates. They are just coupons you pay for. You have to spend twice the amount to be able to use them. If you get them for free then great, but if you pay $15 for your $25 gift certificate like most of them are, then have to spend $50 in food to use it it just doesn't seem to add up for me (I end up overspending just to use it).

I would check with the store manager before you do anything. Generally if there is a code or barcode they can scan, then your're ok.

I have never used them. I was going to get one day but when I looked up information about the restaurant.com cards I found out that not many places in my area accept them. The places that do I had never even heard of.

I have coupon for them but it seems hard to find a place that doesn't require you to spend a lot of money at the restaurant in order to use it...seems like a trap almost.

I think the site is mostly a scam. You have to pay a certain amount before you can get a discount on your food. Unless you eat out regularly (which I don't) at restaurants that are participating (which I also don't), I don't think there's much to be gained on the website.

I have used restaurant.com and it makes sense if the proper incentives are provided. I received a one hundred dollar reward for thirty dollars worth of points. I went to the movies with my family which covered the thirty dollars I had into it. I took my wife to a restaurant and received twenty percent off of the mela which covered the tip on the food. I still have about sixty dollars left in restaurant.com credits and figure that it will generally cover the cost of whatever our tip on the meal would be (unless we get bad service). You can also purchse retail goods at a discount (supposed discount). Restaurant.com had some river dry bags at what seemed to be a good price when I applied some of my credit but, after looking on line, found that I could purchase the same item, at the same price, withut using my restaurant.co credits. It is like anything-perform your due diligence.

I'd ask the manager of the place you go to before using them. I've never gotten one because they always seem to be worth much more than they cost and that makes me suspicious
