There is a local farmstand that I  like to go to.   All the fruits and veggies taste so much better this time of year. I wish there was a larger farmers market closer to me.
I can't wait for the fresh local corn later in the season!  :rainbow: :rose:

I go to our FM every week even though I have my own garden.  You find different varieties and some vendors sell homemade bread and other baked goods.

We have a farmer's market that's open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There are hundreds of farmers that sell their wares there from plants to the end product including homemade bakery products and live animals on Friday evenings. There are also meat markets so they're a one-stop-shopping spree if you want. Plus in the summer, they have outdoor tables for flea market. Oh, and there is one building that have nothing but flea market sales year round.

In the summer, there are smaller markets in the towns. Each town has a market once a week. I used to go every week but due to the inability to walk very well, I would never be able to get through the place plus I could never go through the outdoor part in the summer because it's not paved or level.  It bums me out.

I am so looking forward to our Farmers Market opening up in July. It is so nice to have fresh veggies even if there is not a lot to choose from at first. sure beats the  grocery store we have. My sis-in-law  has a couple of large green house for her tomatoes and they have just plated 500 bell pepper plants outside. Sure hope the grasshoppers don't get them, of course they will have a lot of other veggies and  watermelon, and other melons. Last year we helped her out all year as her daughter had to work on Saturdays. But now that she has changed jobs she will be there part of the time and we will help on the days she is not there.

I set  up a booth at our towns farmers market for cookies, cupcakes, fudge. etc... I only get to set up 1 or 2 times since I also work full time and I'm "on demand" for weekends.  I have to R/O in advanced time so I can be assured to have the morning available.  That doesn't give me much time on my 2 days off to bake, decorate and still fit all my Mom duties in.

Love to go to the Farmer's market. Kind of nice to take ninety minutes off on a Sunday to grab a coffee and stroll around the different sellers and artisans. This weekend is a pass because our city puts on a festival every year and everything within a mile and a half of the Farmer's market will be absolutely jammed and over run with humans. Additionally it is supposed to be extremely hot today and I am still a bit fuzzy from last night's dinner out with friends. A nap in the shade sounds so much better. The produce at our Farmer's market is generally more expensive than the store but the freshness and flavor far exceeds the quality at the store. My kids, and I, are aiming to drink beer, eat pizza and watch a movie this evening. I am going to cut back to nine hours on work today.

;)  I have them from April-October and they are great!  Here in Oregon they have some pretty good produce. Better than the super market.

Some of our area's farmer's markets has live music that goes into the night-time, some is geared on the way of alcohol, some are selling stuff like homemade soaps to candy, one does houseplants and outside plants along with the wonderful veggies and fruit nice to go to different kinds.
