I have heard that the housing market in California is out of control and that the average person finds it very hard to live there, I have a cousin that relocated there last year because of a job opportunity and while the house she is renting  is very nice the rent is off the chain and she is now working a second job just to get by in meeting daily expenses.

i agree with you mrisha!  Utterly outrageous!  I can't imagine a house that small going for even $100,000. 

I live in the midwest, so our housing is much less.

My son's second grade teacher has a daughter that lives in San Francisco and stated the rent she pays is in the thousands of dollars. It's outrageous.
