Ever have to close a really long monotonous survey ?
« on: May 31, 2018, 10:48:33 pm »
"10 minute survey" with hundreds of clicking and typing answers are not happening for any amount. Live and learn. Actually wanted to punch my laptop screen after the  20th section.

Yes.  Sometimes it says 5 minute survey which ends up being 10 minutes after you answer many questions to see if you qualify.  Ends up being 15 minutes or more altogether.

I hate the ones that don't fit the page and you have to scroll both across and down to answer
or  the ones with 500 check offs on one page.

Yes, I have closed out of very lengthy, intense surveys several times.  These have stretched both lengthwise and widthwise across page after page to such an extent I decided it just wasn't worth it.  I have probably had about one every 9 or 10 months like this.  To heck with it! I always wonder how many people actually DO finish!!

When that happens, I get very frustrated, hands and fingers start bothering me, then I just give up after 10 min.

Yup, I walk away for a bit do other things and if it is still up and running I am refreshed and I want to report them. The survey never times out and waits for me, once it took hours!

Not dqs but just after way too many of the same questions, you just  end it.

Have you ever completed a long monotonous survey and then at the end it states sorry this is a failure.  That is when I want to scream.  That has happened quite a few times.

Yes, it happens to me a lot. If the page loads with 500 little buttons to click, I just close it. Or the surveys that ask you if you're familiar with a brand, and even if you say you've never heard of it, they continue to ask you questions about it. Instead of just closing the window, they should have an I Quit button that allows you to give feedback on their ridiculous survey.
