Has anyone else noticed the increasing number of times there are misspelled words in surveys or horrible grammar to the point that the question at times does not even make sense?

Does this make the survey loose credibility to you?  I have noticed this a lot when the question is which of the following have you purchased. Kind of like the trap questions.  Have you purchased YOGHURT in the last month? Well no, but I did purchase YOGURT. Is that what you are grasping for?

So I do not know if it is a trap question or the person who typed the survey is an idiot.

Actually yogurt can be spelled both ways. Yoghurt is the British (or non-American English) spelling. Yogurt is American.

But yes, I have noticed how poor the spelling and grammar is on a lot of surveys. I wonder if they were originally written in another language and auto-translated into English?

Never really paid it much attention, but I wouldn't have called who wrote or write the surveys idiots, as my niece would say,"Not nice".

Could be. I was afraid it was a trap question. But there are others that are just flat out misspelled words.  And I am left thinking do you even proof read? Or not notice the red squiggly lines under the words you have spelled incorrectly? lol

lol.  I really don't care.  If you are representing a company you need to have the intelligence to be able to spell words correctly and also use correct grammar.

I would think that companies that supposedly spend MILLIONS of dollars doing research and on these surveys and wanting to make sure the survey taker pays close attention  -  You would think the person who types up the survey would make sure the words were all spelled correctly.  The example I gave could be like the first response. Maybe it was from a different country or something but a lot of the ones I have seen are not. It is just flat out spelled wrong or they use the wrong word completely. smh.

I my self am a nasty speller,  if i stop and think i always get it right, i just rush too much.. !  I can say i have too found many ooop's in surveys and some pages with no click here ,  they should be proofed,  in the law field , mistakes can cost allot !   One little error can change the whole out come of a case.

I have noticed that there are some typos in the surveys at times. I try to think of it as a small error. Even when I have encountered this if I complete the survey and I am compensated it does not bother me at all.

I would just think if a company is paying all this money to get honest opinions to further their career that they would at least hire someone with more than a 4th grade education to type up the survey.  To me it just makes it loose creditability.  Esp when you have word programs what tell you when a word is spelled incorrectly.  They even tell you when your grammar is wrong. lol

lol.  Sorry.  That is sad but it made me lol a little.  It seems to go in spurts.  I will do really good and then get kicked out of every thing.  Then have spurts where the survey is completed and paid and they come back and reject the answers (you know the ones where there are NO right or wrong answers) and take the money back.

If there are no right or wrong answers I am not seeing how they can reject the answers.

I have completed surveys here and other sites as well and repeatedly said I would not purchase from a certain company and then at the very end I get disqualified.  Obviously the company I kept saying I would not purchase from was behind the survey.  So instead of kicking me out because I won't buy your products why don't you ask me (and thousands of others) WHY we won't buy your products.

One was a company that went viral for their horrible customer service when the customer tried to cancel their service.  When I tried to turn my phone off several years ago the agent was horrible.  I realize her job is to try to keep from loosing a customer but when I tell you TURN OFF MY SERVICE then you need to do just that. You aren't going to change my mind. I had already told her multiple times I do not even use this so I am just paying the bill every month for no reason.
