How do focus groups work? do you have to go somewhere or is this from home?...sorry i'm kind of dumb when it comes to this
It is like a survey but interactive. You have a moderator and a bunch of other people. Not everyone who is "accepted" will participate. It tells you that. You are sent a log in link to your email and you use that link to log in. The moderator asks questions and each person answers. Sometimes you see the other people's answers and sometimes you do not. Sometimes the moderator will ask you a question and no one else can see the answer it is like chatting just with them. It is kind of like chatting on here but the moderator is asking questions and you and the other participants answer. It is always about a specific subject. If you answer stupid non-sense like one word to everything I assume you do not get paid. You have to actively participate. And you can do it from any where you have internet connection and can log in.
Usually the sessions last about an hour and a half and the least I have been paid is $35. It is usually an Amazon gift card. I have been paid more. Seems like I got $75 once and I have got as much as $100 for a 4 part survey that was 15 minutes each time.
Every focus group I have been in came from a survey on a site like this. After the survey it said there would be a focus group session for additional incentive. It tells you the amount of time and amount of pay and asks if you would like to participate. If you say YES it will then say IF you are chosen you will be sent the link to participate.
