Famous actress dies

The woman known for her role in the superman movie from the 80's passed away on sunday may 13th. Margot kidder was best known for role as lois lane and was 69 years old . My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends

This is so sad. Everyone used to say that I looked just like her, so I looked her up, noticed some similarities in our lives, and have been following her online for many years. She was not Autistic [as I am] but because of the sensitivities in her neurology, she is what we Autistics refer to as a "cousin" She had great talent, enormous compassion, and, unfortunately debillitating demons  in the form of mental illness which seemed to worsen each year. Maybe because I am now in my 60's, dying at 69 seems so young to die. I hope she had some peace in her final days.

I remember hearing of her character in the live action Superman show, but I never heard of the actress herself.

Okay, I just remember where I first saw her. For an extremely short period of time in 1973 I worked checking coats at the Playboy Club in Denver. [my bunny uniform is the only thing I have ever stolen in my life] I used to look at the magazine for a few years to see if there was anyone I knew in the picures from the different clubs. That is where I saw the pictorial and long interview with Margot Kidder. She talked about how she was extremely reluctant to do the pictorial, for various reasons, one being that she felt that her body was not good enough. This was way before all that crazy plastic surgery was a thing.  The photographer explained that he could take pictures that would make her look good and that noone would be looking at her "thunder thighs." He told her that" not even Miss February looks like Miss February."  That was the clincher for her, that she could let other women know this and hopefully start to accept the beauty in their, and everyone elses bodies. I was inspired. I forgot all about this until I heard of her death.

A shame to hear about Margot Kidder. I'll always remember her as a great Lois Lane. I will hope for the best for her family during this sad time.

Wow you lose track of the age of some of these actors and actresses. Oh well sad to hear - hoping for peace and comfort for her friends, family and fans.
