Women who have never had children and why..

I have one child, but there are women in the world who prefer not to do any childbearing. Do you know anyone like this? Are you childless? Some reasons are medical, spiritual, education, or just not into kids, or just plain fearful to have a child.

I'm childless currently for many reasons. I've been married 10 years, and have only recently started dealing with many emotional issues from my own childhood. In the 10 years my husband and I have been together, we've also had a lot of financial hardships, and I've had to be a part-time caretaker for my grandparents as they have aged, as well as managing the toxic family situation that is still lingering from childhood.

Nowadays, I've also come to the conclusion that I'm too selfish to have children, but I think that's more self-awareness than an actual roadblock.

I honestly thought I would be done having children by this stage of my life. And now that I'm almost 33, and haven't even started, it's getting intimidating. I know too much about the process of childbirth, and too much about how pregnancy gets more difficult as you get into my age range. So... I don't know what will happen at this point. I'm still debating if I will regret NOT having kids.

Yes I am childless by choice.  I knew from a young age I never wanted children.  I never had any desire whatsoever.

I am childless by my own choice. I work with children by professional but could not have my own.

I am not childless - although I know many women who have made the choice to never have children.  Everyone has there own reason.  Some are saddened by never being able to carry a child while others are completely okay with it and figure if they ever wanted children they could adopt.  Some don't like kids.  Some aren't interested in having children because of the cost.  Some don't want to bring children in to the world the way it is. Some are happy with there being pet Mama's. I always wanted to have a family - I wanted to be a Mommy and have been blessed 4x's.  3 surviving. 2 already adults.  #Proud Mama

Some people prefer the term "child-free" rather than "childless."

We're all individuals,no woman needs to justify to another her desire to have or not have a child .Imagine though how the mothers of the Parkland victims feel to have had lost their children  and now  that's becoming a norm. from human violence-illness-vehicle accidents...Devastating !!!!!

I am glad my wife likes having children or we would not have the 6 we have (and 13 grandkids), but I do have one son who has none (probably because he is 53 and single).

If a woman does not have children you actually have NO idea why she doesn't. It is her choice and no one else's. She doesn't have to explain to anyone.

We have 3 daughters and I gave birth to 2 of them and I wouldn't change that for the world.  I grew up in the age of all women wanting and feeling the need to be a mother.  Nowadays that's probably not the norm and that's ok if that works for them.

I would have been devastated if I could not have had children. I always wanted to have children for as long as I remember. My children are not perfect, but I wouldn't trade them for anything else in the world.

I only have one friend who is childless. She started out with one bad marriage and never tried duplicating it. I believe she is happy with her lot. She's never complained.

I think if you want children, you should go ahead and have them. If you worried about all the complications involved, you'd always chicken out.  (yeah, I know he's a turkey, but he's substituting for me).

          -I do not want to take that responsibility.
          -They would take too much time and space.

I have no kids, because I went threw my change of life at a very young age. At 33 - very easy and fast, didn't go threw any of the stuff some people suffer with it.  I have a dog that thinks she a kid and i treat her like a kid.  had to share this picture of my idea of heaven.

                                                                 a pet can be expensive,clothing... whole world filled with things that are expensive.  The world will return to being Eden if all humans are gone though. God's son suffered but you don't want your kids to break a sweat ?  It's all about the right ppl on Earth doing what's right.

That is definitely understandable. The puppies are very adorable!!
