The issue is that his grandmother claims that he was born in Cuba and all the proof that he has shown is a certificate of live birth from Hawaii. So there are some people out there that want him to prove that he was actually born in Hawaii. The thing is in order to be president of the United States you must have been born IN THE UNITED STATES.
If he was not born in the Unites States then he is not eligible to be president. If he was born in the United States then he is eligible.
So groups that want to get him out of office are trying to puch a campaign that will force Obama to produce an actual birth certificate from Hawaii that states that he was born in Hawaii not just a certificate of live birth from Hawaii that says that yes he born alive on this date but does not say where he was born.
I watched a video about this the other day. If you send them a $30 donation they will give you a bumper sticker. Sounds like someone trying to make money to me but hey who knows where Obama was born.
This is what gets me the most about the whole "birther" movement. I just took a look at my birth certificate, and the official title of the document is "Certificate of Live Birth", complete with my full name, parents' complete info, the hospital in which I was born, everything.
Now, this is a Connecticut birth certificate, not Hawaii, but a brief Google image search shows me several different formats of Hawaii birth certificates, all stating "Certificate of Live Birth", not "Birth Certificate", and calling for location of birth. Clearly, they're grasping at straws if that's the level of 'validity' they seek.
Never mind the fact that, had he indeed not been born in the US, that'd've been brought to light well before he even started campaigning.
