Hope I don't jinx myself but in my 29 years have never been stung by a bee or a wasp.

I was trimming the bushes a couple of years ago and they came flying out.  I felt in on my eye and quickly realized that not only did it sting my eyelid but it got stuck in there and I had to pull it out.

No thank goodness never been stung by a bee or wasp.  I am afraid of them.  If I see one I run the other way.  My cousin died two years ago from being stung by a bee.  I don't ever want to feel like what it's like to be stung.

Please don't kill the honey bees or spray the flowers with pesticides to kill bugs, We need them around. But as for the wasps we rarely have them as hubby makes up a batch of  stuff to get rid of them. When my oldest boy was about  14 he was out  doing some land clearing and  happened upon a nest of bumble bees he had 23  stingers in him. Had to rush him to the hospital so he could get shots. We come close to losing him. It was so scary.

This is absolutely the most stunning wasp sting story of them all. You deserve a prize for that one.

I sat on one once and, of course, it stung me. It hurt pretty bad for a couple of days. Think it was on the back of my upper leg; not my buttocks. :-[

Somehow one got on my truck seat...was driving down the street when I got a burning pain in my back...started swerving all over the street like a drunken mad man....had to pull over and get out and rip my shirt off....people on the street thought I was nuts.... :o ::) :confused1:

I have never been stung by a wasp, but if you are allergic, it can be horrible.

I can't remember - I remember when I was a kid I seemed to get stung all the time... I'm not sure if they were bee stings all the time, wasps/ hornets or dirt dobbers but dang did it hurt.  We have wasps outside our house and they are HUGE - In fact we have to use the front door when they are out to avoid them getting in the house.  The other day hubby forgot they were out.. he slammed the door and managed to catch one between the door and the frame. Wish I could say that'll teach em but there are 3 more out there for every one we see if no more.

Your landlord should have taken care of that, ask about pest spraying the next time you pay your rent. I hope you don't have many more problems.

Did you ever get stung by a wasp  ???  I have a lot of wasps hanging out around my deck ..... I don't even like sitting out there because they are always buzzing around.  Last year they started getting in our bathroom  through a loose vent.
Fortunately it was the end of summer so they weren't very strong.  There were dozens .... I told the landlord ....but I never heard back so I tightened the vent myself.  Hope it works.  :) :) :) :)

Asking the landlord about sprays would be a waste of time.  You need to buy that yourself. But I do agree the landlord should have taken care of it. If they were getting in thru a vent (depending on the type of vent we are taking about) they could be in the attic.

I agree. If you are a tenant, your landlord should be taking care of this issue.  You should inform him or her if there is another problem, letting them know it is their responsibility to take care of unsafe problems around the home, and that if something happens, he or she could be held liable!
