I don't particularly care for country music myself either, but it's not as bad as some music, tolerable, I'd say, unless it's super cry-in-my-beer fare. Some country music where it's merged more with rock is okay, but not still not something I would seek out on my own.

I can listen to almost anything
I like artists from each genre.
I am pretty flexible I usually listen to whatever the other person is listening too.

I rarely listen to country music. I like it but my husband doesn't so we always listen to rock.

I used to love country music in general. However, now at 75, I really don't "do music" much.

However, "Country Roads", by John Denver, still brings tears to my eyes. My old precious gram was a hillbilly from West Virginia.

I loved "You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma" also.

My son and I loved "Brother Love Salvation Show" by Neil Diamond.

And "Elvira" (was this country? Not sure.)

Would love to hear any of them again.

My family and I love country.  My kids' friends ALL hate country.  I don't get it, either.

I do like country music, but I wouldn't say anyone is rare for not liking any specific genre of music.  People have different taste.  That's what makes the world go around.
