Cats or Dogs? That is the question!

I have both, and while I love my dog...a very loving golden retriever..., my cats are more independent.  I get lupus flairs, and the cats can take care of themselves.  And they're just the right size to snuggle.  And they purr.

gotta say dogs are smarter and more helpful - don't see many service cats running around yet...

Can you believe that there are ppl who actually eat kittens/cats/puppies and dogs,man thank God I don't live in those areas of the world. I be attacked/killed for  trying to save every food animal at the markets or having a breakdown seeing that. Bad enough seeing lobsters in a tank and you know their fate is a boiling pot while alive.

I would prefer to not have any pets, but I would choose a cat over a dog.

I've always preferred cats. There's just something special about a really *good* one. I'm not the type to settle for any cat. I want one that purrs and plays and sits on my lap and watches tv without scratching me to death. Lol. I have 3 cats and a dog. One of the cats is my princess -- seriously my best friend. I like the other 2 cats too, just not as much. The dog I've grown to like, but he's a lot of work. There are days I'm ready to give up and let my parents have him. Lol
