It was a whole easier back in the 60's and 70's when we had  just one kind of game to play on the TV. The rest of the time  the kids played outside with their  toys or we played games in the house  with them at night or when it was nasty outside. For the  most part they played hard outside. I think that is why our children were so much healthier then they are now.

Is there really a card game still called "Old Maid"?   You'd think that the PC police would have stopped that name.. seems so demeaning now.   It's Ageist & Misogynistic....

My kids, niece, nephews have video games & they still play with board games & cards.  My one nephew 12,  has all the game systems & he is definitely a computer gamer nerd, but he still will play board games & cards & collects little toys funko, plushes especially of gaming characters like the minecraft creatures....   so I think your grandson still will enjoy other options besides his video game system.    Have a good Easter, hope you grandson enjoys all his new stuff :)

My youngest grandson is 2 1/2 years old.  I got him a Pal Patrol bicycle with training wheels for Easter that he fell in love with a Wal-Mart.

I am looking forward to easter, going to my aunt and uncles for dinner with the family... Bringing my children and my mom along as well.

My easters were always fun.  When we were young it was the traditional my parents hid stuff around the house.  When we got old, my mom made up like a scavenger hunt thing for us, so we had to think to find our treats.  It was a nice switch from the traditional "find the egg hidden slightly behind the table leg" hunts.

Easter is all about Jesus, anything else is just a waste.  Going to sunrise service, watching the children do Easter speeches and then Easter Dinner and maybe an Easter egg hunt

Are you into children or Jesus because one can be quite annoying and the other quite illegal ?

LOL.  Do you hear yourself?  You preach Easter is all about Jesus and nothing else and everything else is a waste.  And then end by saying you are taking the kids to an Easter Egg hunt.  Easter eggs have nothing to do with Jesus.  It is a pagan ritual that had to do with women thinking it would help them get pregnant.  That is how that started.  If you want to have an Easter egg hunt then that is fine but don't put it in the same sentence with Easter is all about Jesus and everything else is a waste.

My children are too old for that stuff I think.  So we just get together as a family and have a meal and visit.  That's a great holiday for me.
