The Dollar Tree has 1 lb bags of now & laters right now.... I bought a few bags for Easter & what a great deal that turned out to be.  If you like now&laters, now is the time to go to the Dollar Tree.... the bag has about 15 or so packs of 6-piece packs in various flavors.

I know they aren't healthy, but a great find.

Dollar Tree isn't the only store whose products have been cut down in size.  I noticed that some time ago, yet the store owner increase the prices to more than the item is worth.

Yeah, I noticed that. I used to buy a few clothes there and now I don't. They don't fit anymore.

Great point; many stores are doing this.

It isn't just Dollar Tree.  It is the major manufacturers as well.  I buy a brand of expensive milk called Promised Land and it was cut way down in size.  There were other products I saw as well.

Check your local convenience and grocery store for the ginger snaps; I've seen them elsewhere for 88 cent.

Exactly; it's a way to save on inventory, as with fast food restaurants not voluntarily giving condiments.

A lot of manufacturers are cutting the size of their products instead of raising the prices.  You are still paying more for it when you are getting less than what you use to pay for.

lol I hate that

I've noticed it too but those big bags of chips are really just filled with air, I guess to keep the chips fresh!

All manufacturers are doing this.  Remember the size of the ice cream carton we use to get?  Look at the size now!

I guess they think people are less likely to complain or even notice if they reduce the size versus raising prices, but I find that duplicitous and sneakier. I would much rather have them raise the price a little, and get as much of something as I want than the other way around. What will it be one day? Go to buy some chips and there's one chip in there?

I'm not surprised by this.  It would be hard fro a dollar store to raise their prices.  The only other way to do it is to make the packages smaller.  They are just raising prices like everyone else.
