Car loan
« on: March 03, 2018, 06:59:48 am »
Here’s to being in debt for the next 4 years to a car loan bank.

It totally worth it thou. If I can make all 48 payments on time I will improve my credit.

And I was able to find a very reliable vehicle.
And my family with my young children can really benefit from that.

However living here in a state that does no fault insurance ....... my insurance for the car is almost as high as the car payment. Haha haha

Hopefully building my credit up can also help the insurance go down. But I was told insurance rates are based on types of cars so maybe my love of Trail Blazers is making it hard on me

I have been there. My interest was about 18 % on my loan. Then half way through I got a home equity loan for 6 % and paid off that car loan. Not only did I lower my payments I also claimed the home equity loan on my taxes. It was a win win

I have two more years to go.  Once I pay it off I plan to keep saving that amount so I can use for my next car hopefully it won't be for a long time.

We do plan on taking 1 trip that’s over 1,000 miles but I do have to watch the mileage because of the warranty once we hit 24,000 miles we lose it. And I am trying to keep the miles down to keep the insurance down

We just got a car loan a few years ago, with our last car.  I don't like making car payment and hadn't for 20 years but we needed a decent car.  Turns out, after my husband lost his job, that we needed a newer car so he could drive Uber and Lyft.

Happy to hear you have some decent transportation. Maybe Fusion can help you keep the payments up.  Enjoy the ride and be safe.

I hate car loans.  I've had the present car for a number of years and praying that it continues to run.  A new car is not in the budget.
