Yard work season officially began
« on: February 28, 2018, 10:33:37 am »
6 hours plus of digging out a massive dirt pile, pulling out dead vegetation, chopping out some and disposing of it all in a lot next to me and  that's just the start. Waking up with feet and leg cramps tells me it was a good nights work. Hopefully by May I'll have half done, but it's fun when you try to accomplish  several  lil goals at a time(tonight it's removing several old moldy bricks, removing the dirt under them and chopping down something that looks like a monster tree from Poltergeist before it destroys part of my fence and shed.Got my hatchet so my neighbors don't freak out over a chainsaw at 12 am and hopefully it'll go timber tonight.

I actually look forward to yard work in the early Spring but by late Summer I am sick of it.

Unless one enjoys that sort of thing.

I enjoy my yard but putting down pavers created a mess then family issues  and a back injury led to years of neglect. Now every night possible I will try to achieve small goals

No yard work for me yet until it stops raining and winter is over in a couple of weeks.

No yard yet, in PA it’s still too early.  Not until late March will we start.

We start next week  trimming the grape vines, the trees, mowing up all  of the dead grass, digging up and repotting the plants and my favorite job of all  pruning the rosebushes. Oh the scratches  come and hurt but it must be done, and it is not even our house but a rental for  daughter-in-law. But we don't mind we love her and she lives  7 hours away now. Oh yeah and have to work on ours too. Oh the joys of owning a house.

It could be a pain with yard work but at the end what a beauty.

Found out tonight that the gnarly lookin tree grown out of my dirt pile is a thick *bleep* poison ivy tree(really wish I had a chainsaw for the *bleep*,)it's gonna be a pain getting it gone, but the fresh air and peace  and quiet will be my salvation as I chop, hack, wedge, hammer and saw the trunk, roots and branches.

I live in Southern California...it's always yard work season. The grass is always green (so are the trees) so there's almost always yard work that needs to get done.

Yard work for me hasn't begun.  I am trying to think about how I want to change my yard.  Flowers etc.
