It is a great concept and I actually was the recipient of it once.  Funny thing, I meant to pay it forward and then forgot all about it.  When I remembered again, I was in no financial position to do so.  Although I am still struggling a bit financially, I thank you for the reminder.  I think I am going to do it soon!  However, I also have to say that I do like giving to local charities which I know give to those who really need it!

Does anyone still participate in "Pay it forward".  I bought/paid for the person's breakfast behind me in the McDonald's driver through the other day.  I didn't realize who it was but it turned out to be one of the people who is especially nice to me who works at my grocery store.  I didn't do it because of that but I think it is neat it worked out that way.  I didn't realize it was her but she recognized my car and said something the next time I was in the grocery store.  Has anyone ever paid it forward for you or have you ever done it for anyone else?

Hello! :D :)

I don't know about this thing called pay it forward. When I do something nice I don't expect anything or paying forward in return and a lot of times no one pays it forward. That's ok because I just like doing nice things for people. Have a blessed day everyone. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

I have done things, but just because...gets the same effect I guess..hopefully makes someones day.

I always pay something forward.  Such as If I shop ad Aldi, I will give the cart (with the quarter still in it) to someone else.

You and I have the same attitude about giving. You do something nice for someone just because you want to or think it will help them.

I never list the things I do for people, because then it becomes about glory and getting a pat on the back.

Give and never expect to get in return.

My boyfriend and I were in the checkout line at the grocery one day and there was a lady and a small child ahead of us. SHe was using the food stamp card and her total was more than the amount on the card. She told the cashier to remove the large bag of grapes that she bought. They were around $8 and the lady's transaction went through. My boyfriend told the cashier "I will get those" and she scanned them and he paid for them. He then handed them to the lady and I thought she was going to cry. It warmed my heart to see this.

Love the idea and wish I could do it but lately things have been tight so just try to volunteer more and help the elderly neighbors with snow blowing or cutting their grass.

Yes, I do it.  I have also given the Aldi cart to someone.  Even giving someone a quarter can make their day.  I try to bless others regardless of the amount.
