Isn't there an oil drop that can be used to looses wax?  I have a friend who is into all natural everything.  Her husband developed an ear infection and they were trying all this stuff (Hid ear drum ended up bursting) Maybe you should just go the Dr. to have the wax removed? My nephew saw an otologist when he was a little guy.  Dr. stuck a long needle into his ear canal and pulled out a chunk of waxy *bleep* hardened yuck in there.... I hope you get some relief soon.

You can buy OTC stuff to help with getting the wax out if its not too packed in there.  Otherwise you may have to go to an ENT to get it out.  My daughter sells and services hearing aids so she sees a lot of ppl with wax like that.  She can usually get it out with her instruments but sometimes not. Good luck.

When my daughter was young, she had a lot ear problems.  Her doctor told us to place warm peroxide in the ear and let it loosen the ear wax.  It helped.  Her ear specialist had her blow up balloons to open up the ear canals.

It was stated that peroxide helps and I agree.  You may also try a few drops of vitamin E oil in the ear canal.  After about 30 minutes or so, use a bulb syringe filled with warm water to gently flush out the ear canal. 

It may take a couple of times to get relief but I suggest that you give it a couple of days between treatments. 

Whatever you do, don't push anymore with Q tips or anything.  I remember hearing once that the only thing you should put in your ear is your elbow.

I've used Hydrogen Peroxide for years.  My mom started it on me when I was a child.  Simply pour a small amount in and you can feel it begin to get warm, sometimes you can feel the bubbling. 

I also know folks who use many natural remedies and have had a lot of success with ear candling.  You can google it and there are also You Tube videos about it.

Have you ever heard of ear candling? I had a friend who used to do it.  Sometimes it worked well, other times it didn't. The basic gist of it - they put a special hollow candle into your ear canal while you lay on a bed/pillow on the side of your face so that you other ear faces the ceiling.  Then they light the candle and let it burn down (it is not a true candle in the sense you would think of it - so there is no hot wax dripping down into your ear!)


As it burns down, it is supposed to draw out the ear wax and gunk.


It is definitely an alternative method and as I said - I've had it work and not work. But it's an option. But if you do it, be sure to only have it done by someone who is trained to perform ear candling and NEVER try to do it to yourself unassisted!!!

I thought my ears were plugged up and tried the peroxide  treatment, but it didn't clear up. Went to the  ENT and I had infected ears which was caused  partly from a cold  but also had infected sinus and the flu. Sometimes you can't win.  Guess I picked up the flu ate  the charity where I volunteer even though I was  always washing my hands or using the hand sterilizer.  But it is a lot better now, Although I will  have to have one more go round for the ears here before long if they don't clear up.  But now I can hold the babies again, love that part.
