Super Bowl reflections
« on: February 05, 2018, 03:19:34 am »
So, now that it's done, what did people think of it? The commercials, game itself, halftime show, etc..

I enjoyed it - didn't think the commercials were great, but not bad either. Halftime show was good, not great, I'm glad it didn't last longer than 30 minutes. Game was good - nothing super controversial, came down to final drive as expected.

I was rooting for the Pats because I was born and raised in MA. But I am happy for Philadelphia that they finally got a Super Bowl win to their credit. That city deserved one.

Why is sad that the Pats lost  ?  Before 9/11 the Pats were not a team that was "America's team" they were a team with ugly helmets that played in a stadium that was the worst(Foxborough) and  only made to the Sb in 85 because the Afc was that bad,and lost the game  w/o a doubt. From 2001 onward there has been a patriotic bias in favor of the Pats and they benefited. They don't deserve more .

The game was actually pretty good, considering I didn't care who won. The commercials I didn't care for, and I wasn't super impressed with the half time show, although I do like Justin Timberlake.

I thought both teams played a great game.  They played their hearts out.

I thought the halftime show was great.  Justin Timberlake did an awesome job.

As for the commercials .. there were a few funny ones .. but as a whole .. just average.  The tide commercials were just annoying.

The ads were not that good this year, didn't watch the halftime performance.  The game was exciting and not a blowout.  My son is an Eagles fan and I'm glad they won.

They have always said that defense wins championships. Yesterday was probably the worst defensive showing in all of football (not just Superbowls). Over 1000 total yards combined; only one punt between the two teams for the entire game; only one sack in the entire game... (although that one sack did greatly impact the final result).  It was a real defensive juggernaut!

Personally, I was happy to see the Eagles win. Still scratching my head over Belichick's decision to bench Malcolm Butler.

I think the eagles went into the game hungry to win. The halftime show not one of my favorite singers but glad to see him interacting with the fans in the stands. The game itself was good all the way til the end :)

I was very happy that the underdog Eagles won! The half time show was high energy; even though I am not a fan of Justin Timberlake; some of the commericals were funny as usual.
