Foot Locker
« on: January 27, 2018, 10:29:45 pm »
Does anyone find it weird that whenever I see the words "Foot Locker," I automatically think of a bunch of detached feet spilling out of a locker?

I think I must be watching too much "Supernatural" or "American Horror Story."

There was a time when I would wretch at too much blood, but now, I can watch a person explode or get run over by a bus, and I burst out laughing.

I mean, seriously, what is up with that?

I am still squeamish about seeing people get stabbed or anything to do with detached body parts, and do not get me started on eyeballs.

But detached feet, really?

Are you talking about the store or something else?

I think you may have issues that may become a bit extreme if you continue down the path you are on.

I always think of athletes foot whenever I her footlocker.  I dunno why?  But the only memories I have of the star or young guys going in there to buy shoes that are way overpriced and they sat in chairs like those you sit in at a stadium - and I think that was the store the employee's wore referee shirts for a uniform.

The only thing I think of when I hear footlocker is shoes. I have shopped in a Footlocker store before and I was quite pleased.

singletonb:

What path exactly am I on? Are you implying I am going to become a serial killer?

I'm 58 years old, and I won't even kill the ants that visit my kitchen counter. Someone likes to play armchair psychologist.

For others, yes, I was referring to Foot Locker, the shoe store. You must admit though, that today's television series, whether horror or police procedural are full of gore. The funny thing is that most horror movies I like are more psychological rather than slasher.

I don't know why I now laugh if someone gets run over by a bus. I think it's the way it's usually set up. For example, a guy will be professing his love and saying that he is not "going anywhere" and bam! a bus runs over him.

The woman who exploded was a serial killer who murdered children, and just before, she was sneering at the cops as if she was going to beat the charges, but someone shot her, and her head literally blew up like a melon.

Another person who exploded was Cass, the angel on Supernatural. But he came back, so it's all good.

I probably should lay off some of the horror, but it's just so darn good . . .
