You order groceries from them and they deliver to your house.

Our local grocery store has the same thing. They also have it where you can order it and then just go pick it up. Very convenient.

They just started doing this where I live. However I have yet to give it a try. I am not sure yet if I will.

This Instacart sounds super interesting. My only problem with it might be if they only deliver branded products, because I use quite a few store brand products (only the ones that are as good as branded products). I couldn't get a lot of information on their site without registering, so I'm not sure if it would be a good fit for us.  :peace:

We shop with Market Basket and we get mostly store brand. In order to get free delivery you need to pay monthly or yearly fee, we chose to pay 149.00 for the year....We shopped wegmans to and we got their store brands. We love it especially in the winter here in Boston Ma

I haven't used it, but I've been very tempted to sign up for it and see if I can get paid to deliver groceries to someone else's house. I'm always down to make some extra money like that.

We've used it to order groceries for our son who lives 1000 miles away from us.  He recently had his car stolen, came down with the flu and lives in a very cold area where there is constant snow and ice.  We wanted to try and help him out so we started using Instacart to have groceries delivered until he's able to obtain another vehicle.  It's worked out perfectly for him.  Small charge but it was worth it.  Seems like the first one was free.  Delivery was within two hours of ordering.  I think it's a great service for maybe the elderly or anyone else who isn't capable of getting to the store.  After the first delivery we got an email offering, I think it was called Insta Express.  Not sure how much it is but it's for a year and you get free delivery.   We didn't sign up for that because don't believe he'll need it that long.   But they gave us a free trial for two weeks.   Leaving the delivery folks a tip is optional and you can do that after delivery.

You pick out the products and brands you want.  When we used it we were able to order the store brands that are normally used.  Also, if you order something and they don't have it they will text you before making a substitute to be sure you're okay with it.  It's a great service and I believe reasonably priced.  Things can be delivered within two hours.  Also, if you need something from a different store they can go there too.  Might be an additional charge, not sure.

I can't say for sure that I've heard of Instacart, but I'm kind of interested. Doesn't Relay Foods do the same thing? They were introduced around here a couple years ago, but not quite in my location.

They started last year at WalMart where you order your groceries & you pick it up at the store. They even have designated parking for pick up customers only. I didn't join cuz I prefer shopping myself it just make feel uncomfortable having a stranger selecting my groceries.
