the story coming out in Ca about the family of 13 kids age 2 to 29 who were heald captive by their parents. They look small for their age one is 17 but looks 10 another is 12 but looks 7. The horror they went through is unbelievable. To bad the neighbors who knew something was off didn't do more. What were these parents thinking God only knows. Hundreds of folks want to adopt those kids.

Yes, I have heard about that. It's hard to believe and leaves a lot of questions.

I've also heard that they were only allowed to eat once a day and bathe twice a year.  Apparently these children had been planning their escape from this horrible hostage situation for the last two years. 

That is unimaginable to say the very least.

I had not heard of this story until I read this thread.  So I went to the Internet to investigate.  The first search I clicked on said the news was fake, and this guy was watching the news video about them and commenting on it.  He was laughing his head off at the kids all wearing the same clothes and going into long rants about all kinds of fake news stories. I kept reading other stories, and it seemed real to me.  I would like to think it's not real because it's just too horrible to contemplate.  Sometimes you never know whom to believe.

Lately, I have been staying away from the news. It's too depressing and will put me in bed for days.

I also figure I will sleep though the entire Trump presidency.

Wake me up when it's all over . . .
