Tide Pod Challenge
« on: January 13, 2018, 07:55:24 pm »
I heard on the news where kids were challenging others to swallow these. With all of the gadgets out there for kids to play with, why would they want to swallow harmful products? Never in my childhood have I ever been that bored.

Maybe they mistook the products for cookies or candy.

I have seen stuff that's just plain stupid that the kids of today do...  as in run over the top of a car (a friend is driving at them slowly )  But then again , skate boarding down hand railings really isn't that safe.  I got it figured we just hear more these days because of the internet.  And as a kid me now almost being 60,  50 years ago we just had the local tv channels and really didn't hear much about people far away... plus back then kids doing stupid stuff got them a trip to behind the wood shed.   :glasses-nerdy:  :glasses-nerdy:

I just don't understand the hype. Kids need to get a life and actually do something with it.

They see a lot of stupid stuff posted on Kids YouTube!  Our granddaughter loves to watch videos on it but we monitor what she watches so she's not seeing all the stupid stuff kids are doing.

I'm not quite sure why young people take on some of these dumb and dangerous challenges that they do these days. And then filming these challenges for everyone to see is just something that people of my generation would not have done as kids. But I'm seriously starting to suspect that these young people are looking for more and more dangerous challenges in order to feed something within them that desires better and better highs. It makes me sad. :(

Wow, that would be a really dumb challenge to take.

I'm not sure if they're swallowing them or just biting into them. Either way, they're all idiots! I don't know what people are thinking these days...

I don't understand these challenges. They're stupid. I know when we were young we did stupid things, but it was never that stupid and we didn't have the benefit of a warning label on literally everything.

I don't know why kids these days do some of the stupid things they do. I am sure they are aware of what the danger is of doing that.

Kids keep making up dumb challenges. Before this one, there was the knock out game, the fire challenge, put 'em in a grave, and the one with kids choking themselves or someone else.
