My first job was at Wendy's.  I started as a cook and moved up to head manager within 6 months.

Delivering newspapers when I was 10,I quit fast because most of the aholes who received the paper didn't want to pay their subscription but wanted a free paper, and  the guy in charge of the paper tried to take their losses out of my pay(like a 100 yr old should kneecap deadbeats.)After that it was yard work, cleanup work, handing out flyers for pizza places, stock work,construction...

My first job was McDonalds the summer of my senior year of high school before starting college.  I really only worked there for like two days because they never put me on the schedule so I stopped going.

For my 16th birthday, my dad got me a job as sales girl at the local 5&10 for the 2 weeks before Christmas. Hated it. Nobody shopped there. My first real job was working a candy stand at a local  auction/flea market every Thursday and Sunday. Thursday was from 6-11 p.m and Sunday was 8 to 6 p.m. Made a whole #12 a week and all the candy I could eat. :)  i worked there until I graduated high school and leaving for school, which was 3-1/2 years.  Liked the job. Bought my first coat with the money and paid $2 a week until it was paid off. :)

I'd go with my dad he had vending routes, i went every day during the summer and  any days off of school because I wanted a pony and had to earn one. I got 3.00 a week for helping him load the van and going with I was 8, and we had to stop to pet horses drove him nuts !!  Back then a pony was  cheap maybe 35.00 bucks.  Got my pony Bootsie and she was a jerk and i spent most my time crying and getting bucked off !!  I learned the hard way and stuck it out, and had many over the years till i got really hurt and now fro the past 7 years horseless ! Was good while it lasted !

I don't really count babysitting. I only did it once or twice.

I had a job one summer with my uncle at his fast food restaurant being a car hop. He said I would be pumping sodas all summer which sounded easy enough. But he had me waitressing inside the restaurant, mopping floors and washing mugs, etc. And the kind of trays they had were the ones that had the stilt you had to position just right or it would fall off.  Probably no one reading this remembers that.

My first REAL job was working at the telephone company right out of high school. I got hired there as a switchboard operator when a bunch of my friends and I applied together. Does anyone still know what a switchboard operator was? Think Lily Tomlin.  ;) I got the job because I wasn't going to go to college in the fall.

Good news. I got my college degree about thirty years later. Better late than never!

I have only had one actual job in my lifetime: the one that I am currently doing. I spent the majority of my childhood and early adulthood in school (full-time).

My first job was a shoe store. I used to get my shoes at this particular store in the mall, so I applied and got the job. I remember being so excited.
