I'm working.  I don't care though.  I don't celebrate anyway.  I get time and 1/2 a free meal and I'm going to be staying in a nice hotel. 

Where do you work?  Some jobs you know going in you will be working holidays.  And the direction we are headed pretty soon Christmas will be just another day and everything will be open.

Flight attendant.  I have enough seniority that I don't have to work holidays if I don't want to.  I haven't worked Thanksgiving in about seven years because I care about having that off more.  Xmas I don't care about.  Since I usually have weekends off and this year Xmas is on Monday so it follows my regular schedule.  It's been a few years since I worked Xmas.

Good for you for getting double pay. With your line of work in the Airline/Transportation industry, holidays are always the busiest time of the year because a lot of people travel out of town on vacation for Christmas and New Years.

I didn't have to work Christmas. Usually I have to work Christmas eve and the day after Christmas.
