I'm sorry this happened. I remember those days. Even though I can't offer you money or even a place to stay but all I can offer is my prayers at this moment

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I almost went homeless once myself. You’ll be in my prayers.

Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry to hear of this! I will be praying for you and your family. I hope you are okay and that you are not in a cold state like the north eastern states where I am! It's frigid cold out here the last week or so. Please stay strong and do what you can. Hope you come back and tell us a success story.

So sorry to hear about your situation. Please know that MOST people are empathetic and compassionate about these situations. You will survive and you will be stronger in the end. Never lose your faith in whatever God you pray to and humanity. Please do not pay attention to the smart aleck comments on this thread. They are not worth your time or energy. Stay positive. I will pray to my God for you as I know he answers prayers. Take care.

If both of these people went to a temporary agency and signed up BOTH would most likely be working in a few days.  But you have to be willing to take whatever is available.  And if I were to the point of being homeless I think I would do about anything as long as it was legal. lol

I agree with you to a degree.  My husband lost his job over 2 years ago and hasn't been able to find anything.  He is signed up with several temp agencies but, the jobs for him are few and far between.  He's working a part time one now but it is ending soon and there is nothing on the horizon.  He is driving Uber to fill in the gaps and, when there is nothing else, Uber has kept us alive.  There are lots of food pantries, at least by us, so usually, food isn't a issue.  It's the rent, phones, etc., etc.  Internet is almost a must these days because it seems job hunting is done almost all online.  Even Walmart and McDonald's applications are online. You can, however, go to the places and they will have a computer there for you to apply.  I don't know how old the person posting is or where they live but fast food is always hiring.  My husband used to deliver pizza but can't even get a job there.  He's applied.  But, yes, I agree, everyone in the house should be working in order to keep the house.  My brother was asking my dad for money for the same thing.  He had lost his job and was losing the house.  However, he has 2 perfectly healthy boys living with him that should be working and contributing to expenses.  There is no reason for them to lose their house.

Well, got some good news. I sold some stuff, dad got a job, I have an appointment to help me out on Friday, we just need to get in touch with a block of apartments that's by us. What's really nice is that the apartments have wifi so I can still do this and we can save some more money by not getting our own. Maybe much further down the line we can get our own again but until then I'll happily take the wifi. So thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts, they were very much appreciated :)

I am so happy to hear the good news.  Prayer does work, and  to just keep putting one foot in front of the other.  I was a little surprised to see how many people put comments on like you were not trying to get n your feet again.  Sometimes bad things happen no matter what you do.

I am sorry that you are leaving.  Even sorrier for your predicament that you are in for now.  I will pray for you and your family for things to get better.  A bad time to sleep in cars.
