they say that living up north thickens your blood.
life in the tropics can thin out your blood.
no matter where you live, you have to "get used to it".

I know we recently made new friends with a couple from Rhode Island and they are loving this cold weather we have been getting down south. The husband wears cut off sleeve shirts & they both enjoy the weather saying that this is mild compared to the winter weather up north.

You are so right! When I first moved to Georgia, I would wear just a sweater in the winter. Now that I've been here 39 years, my blood is as thin as everyone else's and I easily freeze outdoors during the winter! :snowman:

When some of our friends moved down from Alaska, they wore shorts and t's for 2 years. Then a light  sweater. Now  Linda  wears sweats and heavy jackets and complains how cold it is. Still tease here about when  they first moved her. My nephew was here for Thanksgiving and was complaining how hot it was. It was light sweater for the rest of us. But he was sweating it was so hot for him.  Oh the differences.

I have friends who live in Maine.  They were down in Pennsylvania a few years ago.  It was a cold winter day, temperatures were in the teens, and they were laughing at us.  They admitted it was cold, but not as cold as we thought it was.  The temperatures there can range in the minus.  That that’s cold!

I know a guy who has blood as thick as cement,  wears shorts and flip flops all winter long and  big bold flowered shirts , it's pretty funny! He also runs the local coffee shop~ he's  his own walking billboard !

I have never really looked at it like that? I have lived up north and south. Enjoyed both the cold and warm weather. I can see now that everyone have good points!
