dressing for the occasion
« on: December 11, 2017, 06:16:28 am »
it's winter.
most of the country has cold weather.
down here in Florida, it has been in the 40's.
I saw a woman who is visiting her mom dressed in shorts and a sweater.
She is from California.

I dream of someday living in an area where I don't have to have clothes for every season.  Bundling up is a time consuming process.  Layers are necessary for safety when it comes to cold cold cold temperatures.  And it can really add up in extra costs for families who need extra layers for all the little ones.  I remember being in Fl in the spring wearing shorts and an occasional sweatshirt... others were in winter coats and chilled to the bone.

It is cold here in New England in the winter.  When we do hit the occasional high 50s or low 60s I see a few people wearing shorts and a t shirt and I have to wonder what in the world they are thinking. :confused1: :confused1: :confused1:

I love living in southern California, because I hate the cold.  I for one do not miss seasons.  I lived in Colorado (just outside of Telluride) at over 7000 feet for 12 years and was called the California Sissy the whole time because the cold really got to me.  LOL

In Minnesota you dress for cold weather or you die.

It gets cold in Pennsylvania in the winter.  You have to dress accordingly or you could get frost bite.  I don’t mind the cold, but I hate the snow and ice.

I saw a young man running around in shorts here in MN in 25 deg and windy weather.  That's nuts!

I love the cold! More layers makes me happy. Today it was in the 50's and i hated it. I want to have to wear at least three layers and two blankets to stay warm. I haven't turned on my heater yet and don't plan on it anytime soon.
