Something about the Invention of Cars
« on: December 09, 2017, 12:38:19 pm »
I found out that cars were invented because humans at some point needed something that could move faster and hold more people than quadrupeds (probably usually horses) could. Was that need due to population growth? I assume that because public buildings (like schools) can only hold so many people, and public elementary schools used to go from Kindergarten to 8th grade until the population got so big that those schools ran out of room for students from 6th-8th grade. That’s how middle schools got started.

I think part of it is that people wanted to go further in a shorter period of time. The horse would probably tire out.
