Hair brushes
« on: December 01, 2017, 05:09:20 am »
I have a few that I want to get rid of. Does one put in the trash or goodwill?...I don't know if I would want to use someone else's brush  ::)

I agree with you. The trash is the best place to put them.

I would simply trash them. I wouldn't want to use someone else's brush either. ;)

Probably trash.  Personal items lke that aren't necessarily wanted by other people.

Oh yes!!! The trash.

No matter how poor I was, I would never want a used brush.

Generous thought, though.

there are things you just don't share: used toothbrushes and used hair brushes are the two biggies.

Any personal item like a brush should be trashed because if you donate them to Goodwill  they will throw them out.

I am surprised this person is even willing to admit they have more than 1 hair brush! ;) People generally can and do have more than of anything, but with so much brain washing going on....people might go oh... you can only have 1 of anything. No one needs 2 or more than 1 of anything. How could you have a couple hair brushes? But, anyway, in terms of donation of brushes, I guess you also have to consider how comfortable you are with someone lower than you, using your hair brush and potentially being you or making an in into your home, etc. Do you know what I mean? Will it bring you down more to pass them along to another? Or what benefits does it really have to you? Other than just a general, I "helped" a person and maybe a warm fuzzy. And what, that ain't worth anything? Even and especially when it doesn't get you out of anything. So really maybe I wouldn't pass the brushes along to real people, taking in to account all these sorts of things. I would just consider recycling them depending on the type of materials the brush is made out of. Just have it made into something new, if possible.

In terms of donation of old brushes vs getting new brushes, how many FREE hair brushes can a person get in life? How many do they need to help out? Like from my observations in my area, I think people have gotten the mini black comb, linked/picked up/whatever and at least another, some sort of mini compact fold-up brush with a mirror. And then after awhile they broke their mini brush/mirrors, and signified they weren't gonna help out anymore. So I don't really think they need anything, especially after that and taking into account everything else.

Lol I think that you are thinking this over way to much. I myself would trash the brush because as I said I wouldn't want to use ANYONES used brush. I was just curious as to what others would do...they are nylon round brushes and I have small/medium/and large for different styles. I really haven't used them because they catch my hair in the handle part ouch, hence why they are being tossed...thank you for your thoughts though :)

I wouldn't think twice to throw a used hair brush in the trash, it's been used and that should be a sanitary issue. Toss it away. If its new and still has the package around it, I would keep it and use it , give it to family or a friend!

Why would think someone would want to use brushes you have used on your hair?  That is just gross.  Throw them in the garbage where they belong.

I could be wrong but I would think Goodwill would throw them away if you took them there.  I would just throw them away.

Ok so hair is a very personal topic and this is one of those things that I feel is a "to each his own" type of thing but to be honest, I am a bit funny about using other people personal care items. It is almost as if you inheriting whatever happened with that particular brush. If it had lice in it before you are now using it.

No don't think it's a good idea to use other people's hair brushes. don't know what kind of hair they have.
