I make my own for health reasons.  Trying to keep harmful chemicals out of there.  It's a powder.

I only use liquid, powder never dissolves in my water, I even tried shaking it in a jar and still did not work.

I use liquid, but I remember throughout my childhood my mother using the powder kind. I don't even know if liquid detergent existed at the time (or am I wrong?).

I don't buy pods even though I find them very convenient. It's because the only way to make detergent companies stop making pods is not to buy them. Little kids are putting them in their mouths because they look like candy to kids and are having terrible consequences.

I guess that is what I get for not reading directions - I have been using Tide Pods all year but only use one per load and I think my clothes are just fine oh well I am going to carry on the way I have and see what happens.

I use only liquid detergent. I used to used powder in the past, but as others have mentioned, it sometimes clumps in the fabrics. Never tried pods.
