I was playing video games during my childhood and sports. I did not really start reading books until high school started, It was because one of my teachers that i began reading and i am glad my teacher got me into reading books.

My favorite book when I was a child was The Mummy Market. I must have read that book 100 times! My oldest son's favorite was Tuggy the Tugboat, and my youngest son only liked books that were non-fiction -- so counting books and cookbooks!

"Little Black Sambo" from a day when life was much simpler. It really has nothing to do with race, but it would drive some people to violence today. I still have a copy to share with my family.

I probably read the first book of The Boxcar Children hundreds of times. I liked other books in the series but not as much.

My favorite book as a child was "Rootie Kazootie and the Pineapple Tree" that my uncle Leonard read to me 5000 times.  As a grownup and children's librarian, I liked "The Very Hungry Caterpiller" and "Are You My Mother?"

My favorite book as a child is little red Riding Hood

I don’t have any particular favorites. For story time, I remember my preschool teacher read aloud to the class with titles such as Where the Wild Things Are, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Three Little Pigs, and Dr Seuss’ Go Dog Go, The Cat in the Hat, etc. As soon as I was able to read on my own, I remember reading The Berenstain Bears, Madeline, Amelia Bedelia, and Curious George. No matter how old you are, these books will always be favorite classics to pass down to the kids and grandchildren.
