Does anyone have a good remedy for a cold?

Vitamin C taken several times a day always helps me in the beginning before it really settles in if you will. I buy it in raw? powder form. The flavored Emergen-C packets work just fine too but I find the powder is more potent. The pure powder is quite sour but you can mix it with juice if you don't like the taste. It doesn't bother me though.

Try energy medicine exercises.  There's one called "Connecting Heaven and Earth" that is supposed to help nip an oncoming cold in the bud. I also use a respiratory blend of essential oils in a diffuser every night.  You can also rub it on the soles of your feet.  This has worked wonders for my husband and me! One of my favorite remedies that has really helped me is sniffing salt water.  A netti pot is probably more efficient, but I just mix up a little warm salt water, place it in the palm of my hand and sniff it up through my nose into my head.  It helps clear out congestion and promote healing.

Juice, chicken soup and a lot of rest

I like to try to sweat things out with exercise or a hot bath, then lots of rest with juice, medicine, and herbal tea. Zinc is good to take, too.  Zicam seems to work fairly well if you take it as soon as you feel under the weather.
