Groceries
« on: October 15, 2017, 03:03:49 am »
Have you ever went to the grocery store bought groceries
left out of the store,  made it all the way home, sat down and
and relaxed for a few moments before putting up the groceries
to realize something is missing from your grocery bag that you
purchased.

Seeing that you are probably tired, did you call the store
and inform  them and then go right back to the store to get
The item or did you say forget it.

depends on how much the item cost.  for a few bucks I'll just get the item next time I go shopping.

Yes, ocasionally happily found that I left an item in the car.

Have left stuff at the store, but I usually use the "you bag" line, and I am very careful to put everything in the bags and cart.

I even (groan) left my wallet there one time. Thank God, an honest person turned it in, and I went and picked it up.

It is sooo easy to be pre-occupied, and forget something.

Just small item so don't bother to come back in the store.

I usually call the store no matter what...  Often they will save the item and put it off to the side (Or in a cooler) for the next time I'm in to pick the item up.  I used to do this when my kids were small and I was rushing to get through the check out lane.  Since I now work in a grocery store - I'm always "back" and never have a problem reclaiming things if left behind...as long as I have the receipt.

This happened to me about a month ago.  I went to Wal-Mart and bought a half gallon of milk.  When I got home  I didn't have the milk.  I had left it at the store.

This has happened to me before at least a couple times. I don't live far from store, so I just go and get it.

it has happened a couple of times but I realized it before I left the parking lot. what alsohappens to me is that when  get home I realize that they double charged me for an item. It is taken care of the next time I am in the shop. :rose: :pumpkin: :peace:

I just had that happen recently. All I did was call the store and tell them something was left out of my bag. The manager told me to circle the item and put her name on the receipt. When I went to the grocery store on my regular shopping day the next week, I just took the receipt up to customer service and they let me go get the item without being charged again. Thankfully it wasn't something I absolutely had to have the week before.

Yeah that has happened to me, I called the grocery store and told them, I didn't get a  certain item and they told me it was waiting for me and to come back and get it, but also took my receipt.

That has happened occasionally.  I will generally call the store to let them know I will stop by the next time I am in the area to retrieve my missing items.  I make sure I write down the person's name that I spoke to and hang on to my receipt!
Have a wonderful day!

I hate that! If it's something small I'll just forget it. I hate to lose that money but it's not worth the hassle, time, gas to come back and get something that cost a few dollars.
