Demons or Mental illess

Before I never used to believe in demons but reading and hearing about what some people do to other people is just demonic and sick.  You can claim someone can be mentally ill but I do believe some are really possessed by demons.

You can also read in Genesis right before the flood how angels then were able to materialize human bodies and have sex with all the good-looking woman and they created the Nephilim...giants that were wicked in that day.

Mental illness, drug induced or just plain horrible human being. Their are some man made drugs like bath salts that can make a person can crazy and do sick things to themselves & others.

Something you see regularly in the bible is the demon possessed killing themselves.(Judas, the herd of pigs, the possessed boy's father told Jesus the demon tries to kill his son by fire & water,etc)   So when I see nutjobs end up killing themselves after their atrocity has been committed, I tend to think Demon possession may  have been behind it.

Nowhere in this verse does it -even REMOTELY state- that demons took the prerogative of human flesh. You are reading into the text something that clearly wasn't stated. Some angels sided with Satan and for this, God punished them. Saying it's cut & dry is an understatement. to get any other interpretation from that verse would take a herculean effort.

Knowing what we do, "Sons of God" meant the Godly line of Seth, whose offspring were obedient to God, unlike Cain, whose decedents are the "daughters of men". Of course, I too was taught this fairy tale that demons could have sex with women & produce giants, but I actually went beyond what was spoon fed to me by unreputable sources and did a little something called STUDY. I urge you again not to take what the Watchtower tells you as fact. Use some common sense and stop being led by the nose by a known cult.

Actually i will.Your theory JJ on angels NOT taking on fleshly bodies is again proven wrong using bible.Abraham entertained angels that were described as men and Sodomites even inquired to who they were for unnatural purpose.That shows right there that obedient angels <nevertheless>angels were able in that time to take on fleshly bodies.Go read Genesis 19:5 and see the Sodomites wanting to have sex with angels bearing resemblance of men to Lot.

Mental illness is already not taken seriously enough without people trying to say their possessed with demons.  Mental illness is real and craziness like this will further prevent it being taken seriously enough for more widespread diagnosis , treatment and awareness

Maybe you need a reminder of realities of life . People claiming that everything is because of demons is what has caused people to be killed because of exorcisms being preformed on people that had very real physical and mental conditions that should have been treated by medical professionals and not religion
