I’m not from the Baby Boomer generation. I still have a
very long way to before reaching retirement age. I’m not from the Millennial generation either. I do not wish to retire early at 62 like most people do because I still have the energy to work. If I’m lucky, I hope to retire at age 70.
I have a female co-worker who just retired a week ago after working for 16 years at our corporate branch. She worked on her last day on Friday, Sept 29th. I believe she is around 70 years of age. Now with all the extra time on hand, one can sleep and wake up at the time they wish, take on a new hobby, relax, travel, take an extra course for fun, volunteer etc. I hear some retirees don’t even know what to do afterwards for they become bored after a while. I would go back to school because I am a lifelong learner. I love school.
