I lived very far from my school so much so that i would be late and i would have ended up missing a few of classes so my Dad drove me to school. Now i live closer to my high school but I still do not walk. Maybe one of these days.  ;)

No I got to ride a bus. I lived where my mom did when she was younger and they walked. They even had tons of snow to go through.

I did once or twice.  Does that count?  I lived close enough that I could walk for two years and did it once or twice.  The rest of the time it was way too far to walk.

I walked to school with grandma  my first year as  my folks lived  way out in the country and for the first 5 miles I would have been on the bus  by myself with the driver and mom was not happy about that. So yep lived with my grandparents for a year.  Grandma was the cook at the school and grandpa was the janitor. It was a very small school. Then my parents moved close in but still a mile from school and I had to walk up to my uncle's house and ride with my cousin, He was bossy. So rode the rest of my school years on a bus .

I did when I first started the 2nd grade around age 7. My mother forgot to pick me up from school one day, so I made the decision to walk home alone. When I found out she wasn’t home, I figured she must be on her way to pick me up. So on a roundtrip, I walked back to the bus stop where I was dropped off from school and found her there waiting for me. After I transferred back to my old school, walking home and going to school became a daily routine.

I wouldn't want my kids walking to school now; times are different.

yes I loved to walk to school. I had to talk my mom into but I was picked on in school and taking the school bus was always filled with so much anxiety that for me getting up early and walking to school was so much better

In elementary school, yes since I live too close to be picked up by bus.

No, I spent most of my school years riding on school buses. I moved during my senior year, and someone was dropping me off and picking me up everyday.
