My brother lives in Vegas, before I even had time to contact him he had marked himself safe on Facebook.  I don't know who came up with that feature for facebook but I've seen it quite a bit during recent tragedies.   I think it's a great feature that can prove most helpful.

I had never seen that.  Where is it at if you look at someone's page?  Or are you saying he just posted "I AM SAFE"?

Last I heard it was 58 death. This is so sad, I don't know how someone can kill another person.

True.  The split second something happens it is all over the internet, facebook, twitter, and every other thing out there.  People get breaking notices on their phone. And everyone wants to be the first to report it so they don't even wait to see what is going on.  Then you have everybody with a cell phone and they are videoing and live streaming it to the internet.  There were freakin idiots live streaming people getting shot at that concert.  That is just as sick as the person doing the shooting.  Think for a minute.  Would you want to see your kid being shot and drying and it be all over the internet?  I also think the people who flock to this is part of the problem.  They can see how many clicks a news story gets.  If everybody didn't run to the stories like "what we know about the shooter" then they would not stay up there.  I don't care what they know about the shooter.  Don't want to know his name.  Don't want to see his picture.

"allow" it go to on?  How to you propose we stop it?  When they try to secure the boarders everybody screams that's not fair.  When they try to send illegals back to where they come from - people scream that's not fair.  When they try to monitor who comes in to this country - people scream that's not fair.  When they want to limit refugees we know nothing about - people scream that's not fair.  When they want to lock up mentally insane people - people scream that's not fair.  You can't have it both ways.  When I was a kid we lived in a safe country.  You never heard of craziness like this except on the news in the middle eastern countries where they have been fighting since the dawn of time.

I agree with you. We allow everyone in our country, legal or not, then when tragedy strikes, everyone wants to know how this could happen. I understand we are a melting pot and have citizens of all races, countries, etc. It's the ones who are here illegally that I have a problem with.
