I go to 99 cent only store at least once weekly... it is smart shopping.  Their vegetables, often organic, are the exact same as walmart/sprouts...   The one closest to me gets stuff from Sprouts up the street.

It's like picking for deals, what do they have today - this morning I got a 32 serving can of Swiss Miss Hot  Chocolate Mix for 99 cents :) expiration date Feb/2018 -- & a 8-pack of yoplait yogurt for 99 cents.

We have Dollar Tree too I use their generic benedryl & it works as good as the name brand.  The greeting cards there are American Greeting & they are very nice.

There's a Dollar Tree near me, I've only been there a few times though.  They have ~10 parking spots and it's always full!  I'm told that the frozen foods are quite good but I don't like buying food from brands that I've never heard of :(

Yes.  I love Dollar Tree.  Some of the food you can get cheaper though.  I buy my makeup there.

don't go to them much, just family dollar stores or dollar general.

Dollar Tree is a fave place to get party stuff. it costs so much more elsewhere.

I also get cat litter there.  7 lbs for a dollar, I get 6 bags at a time so it's 42 lbs for $6 which is awesome.  Instead of the litter pan liners (10 for $1), I get a box of the white trash can bags (18 for $1) and put the whole litter box in the bag.  (Makes for easy clean-up, only need to pull the pan out of the bag and toss the bag.)

So litter and liners for one month (5 cats) is about $10.

Wow, I didn't know there were 99 cent stores that sell produce and food, They call it 99 cent store but actually there are hardly anything in them that really coat 99 cents.

There are some things that I buy at dollar stores. But some items are worth it to pay more to be assured of quality. But party supplies, decoration and stocking stuffers are great at dollar stores.

There seems to be a lot of Dollar Tree stores.  Dollar stores are there where you can find so many items.  You have to remember it's a Dollar Store and you get what you pay for. They have a lot of items for Arts and Crafts.
