I don't have a dog, but I also always notice people who have dogs. Dogs are usually so happy and they make me smile. I think it would be easier to chat with people you meet if you had a dog! :dog:

I do have to agree with everyone ! I am a dog person myself, however i do like cats also just not as much as i like dogs. I would like to have a dog again! I always enjoyed talking/ calling, playing or just being around any dogs

People definitely notice my dog first before me, he SCREAMS when he sees other people or animals.  He's what they call "reactive", I think something in a vaccination he got didn't work out so well for him.  He's a boxer/pit, he's cute but he scares everyone to death.  People see him coming on our block and they just all stop what they are doing and go in their houses.  :(  I've tried everything to help him, nothing works.

Dogs are definitely the superior pet. They show so much love to humans.

Unfortunately, I do not have any pets. Between work, school, and other financial commitments, I am unable to commit fully to taking care of one at the moment. However, I fully intend to get one in about 5 to 10 years. :)

And to the OP, I know exactly what you mean. I immediately notice the pet (dogs mostly) before I do the owner. I absolutely love dogs. I melt every time I see one.

Not a Pet owner especially Dogs.  We had dogs when growing up, but still not a favorite.

We walk our dogs twice a day and have met some new neighbors that have moved in recently and yes they are a icebreaker.
