I have to have a fan on. No exceptions. If I'm out of town sleeping in a hotel, I download the white noise app but it's still not loud enough for me to get a good sleep. Nothing like my good old super loud blast fan and cancels out ALL noises. That's about my only requirement.

Couldn't you bring a fan with you to the hotel and plug it in?

I'm thinking her fan must be womba-sized and would be unhandy to waltz into a motel with.

BTW, I know I ended my sentence with a preposition for any of you a-n-a-l grammar people (of which I am one).

Dark, quiet and cool.  I like a cold bedroom so I can wear a heavy quilt. The weight of it helps me sleep.  But, there are always some nights when sleep just doesn't come.

I am with you on some of these.  I like to watch tv until I am about to fall asleep then I turn it off and doze off.  I like it cool, but not as cool as you do.  I like four pillows when I sleep too.

My ideal sleeping conditions are a cool room (not too cold though), with blankets and a comfortable bed and pillow.

I like a fan going and it being very cool at night. Also like the room dark without light  coming into the windows. Still hubby is up and down every night and with the fan going and the door shut he sometimes wakes me up. Oh well guess it goes with being older.

Just gor home from 3 days camping right on the shore of a NY State Lake.  Perfect sleep, listening to wind and waves!

Me too!! A couple times this summer the power went off, and as soon as that fan went off I woke up

I always have my AC on or air purifier if it is cold out to help me sleep. I always need a noise or something to help me sleep.

I like to have it cool enough so I can sleep under heavy blankets. Dark, but not too dark. I have a night light set up in the right spot.
