I heated ribs in the oven and baked okra, and rested the rest of the day.

I mowed the lawn. Not gonna lie, it took a good 4 hours. After that, I collapsed on the couch, watched the soaps and The Talk, and then made some dinner -- lobster cakes, asparagus, and home fries. All turned out pretty good. I FaceTimed with a friend and then went to bed pretty early. Probably not the best holiday, but it was a nice break from the "real world."

We went to my daughter's and had a fish fry/cookout.  I got to spend some quality time with my six month old grandson.
