If I had the person with that the handicap tag was for I would park in the handicap parking space for them.  If I was alone I would not park in the handicap parking space.

No I wouldn't part in the handicap spot either if I borrowed a car that had a sticker that allowed that. I would feel just terrible the whole time I was doing whatever I went to that place for in the first place, thinking about what a terrible thing I had done to someone who really needed that spot. I certainly don't mind walking further so that the disabled can use these spots.

If you were borrowing someone's car that has a handicap tag in it, would you park in a handicap spot? I saw this young kid do that today. I was thinking, suppose someone really needed that spot?

Maybe that "young kid" needed it.  You DO NOT know him or his situation.  You can't always see a handicap.  Maybe he has serious heart problems or leukemia and you cannot see that just by looking at them.  Age has no bearing on the situation.  I have seen plenty of older people who sure didn't look like they needed a handicap parking spot or the tag but they parked there.  People are too quick to judge other people when they have no idea what is going on in their lives.

I have a disability.  I need those spots.  When someone parks in them without an honest reason, I don't get  to park in a spot that I actually need.

Food for  thought.

And the other people who park in them feel they need them as well.  You can't tell by looking at someone if they have health issues.  And I have seen people who look like they are barely able to walk and have the sticker and guess what --- they are faking!

I would only use if someone in the car with me was handicapped.  My parents both need these spaces and I would feel bad for them or anyone else that needed it.

I know that handicap stickers in my town have names on them. if the person is not in the car, they get a ticket. I have known this to happen

my mom and dad had handicap  stickers in their car so they could park and not have to walk very far.  If I ever used their car I would take it down,,,,, I never used the sticker.  If they would come in my car They would bring it with them so they could use in my car.  It just had numbers not their names so it could be taken in other cars.    This was a nag tag in their car not an actual car license :)

That's rude of him. I have one. I only use it if I really start having trouble walking. I feel I need exercise. However that kid should have gotten in trouble for that. It is only for the person registered on the card.

So many people abuse them. I know multiple people who are NOT handicapped that use handicapped tags when they go out. If I was borrowing someone's car, I would not use a handicapped tag. I'm not handicapped, and I need the exercise anyway.

Please don't get me started - I can barely walk and I see people all the time parking in handicapped and then have seen people "jog" into the store.  It ticks me off - but just have to believe that what goes around comes around eventually.

I take care of people with disabilities so need to park in the handicap spaces when I am taking them places.  If I am driving the handicap van with no passengers, I always park in a regular spot.

If he didn't need it he should have respected others and not parked there

If I borrowed some one else car and he had a handy cap sticker I wouldn't use it because it's wrong

I have a roommate he is handicapped; he told me that the law is getting stern on that. I don't use it only when he is with me; but, I hobble-walk at times when my pain comes around the people don't say a-word because I got the look. I understand when you are handicapped and no parking spot is  :sad1: I tell him it's exercise day and he looks at me  :sad1:

I have been in that situation a few times...and no, I do not park in handicap spots in that situation.  I had my grandmother tell me one day that I should have, but no, I'm not doing that.
