Pregnant in your undies
« on: September 20, 2009, 09:52:57 pm »
I have a situation that I would like to bring to a vote.  Last summer when I was eight months pregnant I was in my screened in front porch, (which is a tv room and year round) wearing a t-shirt and my undies.  Trust me it was no scandalous sight.  Like I say hugely pregnant.  I was so hot cause it was August and didn't feel like even wearing shorts.  Well the neighbor behind me apparently saw me.  I got dress and went over to apologize to him.  He FREAKED out on me!!  Yelling and screaming saying it was wrong and I was about to be a mother and should know better.  I tried to say I was sorry but that just made him madder.  I told him it was really hot and I'm 8 months pregnant.  He said that was no excuse and it was inappropriate.  To top it off he yelled at me for the movies I watch in that room. Then I asked why he was looking through my windows.  He lost his mind!  I went back home with him yelling the whole way.  Do you think he was right?  or what would you have done?

Thanks for the congrats, she is great!!  oh yeah and I wasn't prancing LOL I was just watching tv.  Prancing would have been a sight with how pregnant I was. hehehe! There weren't any blinds on the windows (they're are now) but there are high bushes around them.  Really you could only see in if you were really looking.  Which is creepy!

that's just ridiculous. you were in your home, minding
your own business. he should have been doing the
same thing! god knows what HE does with but one
measly drape pulled  ::)  i can't stand when people
act so self-righteous.

that's one thing i miss about living in the country.
so much space to yourself. not as many noses
poking in your backdoor, so to speak.

i just don't feel like i have room to breathe in the
city/suburbs. ick  :sad1:

As a fellow pregnant woman I feel your pain!  I am pregnant for the third time now, and if it is Augest and I wanna walk out to the mail box in my underwear, the rest of you can go to hell.  LOL.  I must say I havent dont that yet (LOL) but if I did, no one better say anything (or laugh!)  LOL!

When I was pregnant with my son I lived in Florida and was pregnant all summer, so I know how hot it can be.  Next time you see that guy peeping on your tv show, I say take you pants off and prance around a bit!  LOL!

i hink he should mind his own and that he should be reported as a peeping tom but really if you are that hot then really he should have no say you are in your house it is not like you were out side walking around next time just put a swim suite bottoms on and dont go over next time if he dosent confront you then just leave it alone

To each his/her own!  Anyone that has been pregnant or been around someone that was pregnant knows that you do what you have to do to be comfortable!  Men walk in public all the time in boxers...and seriously, have you seen the way some teenagers dress?  LoL    You do what you want to!  Tell him if he doesn't like it, then DON'T LOOK!  hee hee

I agree you can do what you want in your house but standing in undies with just screen door and not door closed... is well.. inappropriate. what if a mailman came or something

I've been pregnant twice in the summer (both times in my 3rd trimester) and you have every right to be behind a screen in your underwear if you choose. If someone wants to take the time to look in your screen door - which let's all just admit it, takes a little time and focus to actually see in - well then that's their pervy, nosey, inappropriate behavior. I can't stand when people walk by windows and look in just because my blinds are open. Mind your own business, would ya?

And by the way, how the heck does he know that you were in your underwear and not bathing suit bottoms? Would he have thought they were so scandalous if that were the case? Probably not, but if you think about it's exposes the same amount of skin.

Congrats on the baby!!

he shouldnt be watching the movies that you are watching that is right. Just sont stress yourself out too much over this. but if it was me i would be getting some thicker curtains so he cant see into my house!

Personally, I understand you and what you were doing, and I don't think that should be a problem.  However, if i were some grumpy old man or something sitting at home and i looked out my window and saw a preggo lady in her underwear, i wouldn't put it past me to not appreciate that.  He should have nicely asked you to put some blinds up or something like that, not blow up at you. He was in the wrong.

I compleletly understand about setting around in a T-shirt and panties when you are pregnant.  I did the same.  To me it's like setting around with your swimming suit bottoms on, and besides why was he being so nosey.  Sounds like he has got a personal problem.  It's your house you should do whatever you want.

I seriously doubt a cop would arrest a pregnant woman in her own home for indecent exposure, lol! I do agree that precautions should be taken (blinds, have a robe handy, etc.) for safety and perv reasons (and not to offen the neighbors who are nosy and then judgmental on top of it!).

I have seen much worse on primetime or disney...
