Technology Still Isn't As Advanced As Many Might Think
« on: September 02, 2017, 02:03:50 pm »
Because technology becomes more and more helpful with tasks, it has also become less and less healthful because it's actually an addiction. I hate addictions because they control people and therefore don't let people change for the better. The best way to defeat an addiction is to develop resistance skills. I learned how from a My HAPPYneuron game called Color Trap. That game happens to be based on The Stroop Effect and has three (3) rounds. In the first round, you have to name whichever color you see; in the second round, you have to name the color of whichever word you see which would also be the color's name; the third round has a similar routine to the second round except that the word almost never names its color if at all, and you still have to name the color and not think about reading the word. In summary, that game is supposed to make you develop an instinct towards what you really need to focus on when there is a conflict with a situation instead of make you just follow a crazy impulse. Sadly, that game wouldn't work for colorblind people, so they would have to follow another form of The Stroop Effect. What would be the best way to persuade enough other people to start a membership with any cerebral fitness site anyone has already heard of?

Technology? What good was it going to the moon when the human race cant live in peace on earth??

What good was it splitting the atom when hundreds of thousands were wiped out by an A bomb?

Should i stop now?

Yes, I think you've already questioned enough what I said.

So you think people will become less addicted to technology by using technology ? People tend to trade one addiction for another not use the same thing to get over it

No, that's not exactly what I'm saying. I would think (and be almost positive) that brain games like the ones I play would teach people things they should manage to remember for a while. You don't need technology for brain games. I play brain games online because that's how it works best for me. I have developed skills of resistance to not so healthful things by becoming more rational from reasoning games.

Technology is good and sometimes it can be bad.  But that is the way of the world right now.

You  asked what it would take for people to start a cerebral fitness site membership. Any website is going to require the use of technology. Using technology to resist technology dependence defeats the purpose but do what you thinks works for you

Lets look at the cell phone. In an emergency situation on the road it can be a blessing.

With all the accidents and deaths it cause because many are on it texting etc driving, its dangerous.

Its really mankind that abuses it....they are to blame what they do with the technology.

The internet can be very useful as we know. But we all know its abused.Again man abusing it!

Should i stop now?

Now lemme be fair.In the case of technology helping to evacuate a city with an oncoming storm, definitely helpful.

So i guess we have to discern on what it is and if its used the right way.

I am sure those full of nationalism when i brought the splitting of atoms up said,Well the Japs deserved the A bomb. They attacked us first.

Some of these will also say they are xtians or support bible.EX-go see what an *shl Gen Macarthur was with some of his sayings! He even made Pontius Pilate look like an angel

When I mentioned resisting technology, I meant using technological devices in moderation. Learning to logically resist whatever shouldn't be important right now is what a reasoning game about resistance is supposed to mean.

Tehnology can be a blessing and a curse.  It just depends on how we use it.

Technology may not be as advanced, but I think they are working to reach the heights and go further.   Standing still is a no, no if companies wants to succeed.
