Your Session Has Expired
« on: September 02, 2017, 10:33:29 am »
O.K., now it's my turn to share my experience with survey disappointments.  On the survey page I see that Opinion Central has made yet another comeback.   :)

After I answered about 50 or so questions on the survey, I get the 'Your Session Has Expired' page.   >:(

Ooooh brother, what a drag.   :bad:

Hopefully I can re-coup a few cents that I lost by use of the forum.  ::)

I have had that once or twice when  I got up to answer doorbell or telephone; I guess I was away from the screen to long so it timed me out; I did not get upset just went on to try and do another survey; these surveys are like computers they seem to have a mind of their own!

That's true, I certainly understand it if I were to get up.  In this case, I stayed right at the table and moved through the questions at a comfortable pace.

OC has been known to act a little weird at times so, I, too, did not get upset ( even though the little frown face might be saying otherwise ).  >:(

Anyhow, thanks for your upbeat response.  :)

I carried in some groceries for the wife and had this happen today, 40 cents down the tube.

I've had that happen a time or two. It's frustrating.

it's happened to most of us... it's happened to me when I got pulled away and while I was here... not sure what "timer" is on it but no reason to get upset

It has happened to me from time to time.  If I have to leave a survey "on hold" I expect it.  Sometimes you can't complete a survey in one sitting although I strive to.  I have found that it occurs infrequently, but most of the time even when I get the "your session has expired" page it will credit for me.  It shocks me when it does.  I guess that's why I usually work surveys to completion, regardless of an interruption, because you never really know.  I've noticed only a few make the statement upfront requiring that you take the survey in one sitting.

Go back, and look at your total and your credits.

Opinion Central gives you the "session expired" message, but it still pays out. It usually takes about ten minutes for the credit to show up.

I have gotten it, and gotten forty cents three times this week.

This happens to me too. Especially when I clicked on the survey and haven't had the chance to look at it.

I have lost like surveys and some tasks.  I only spent like 5 or 6 minutes and it tells me I timed out.  I am glad it is not just me timing out even though I have lot of time left.

Hi Kaat,

I've actually thought about that.  I made the original post only moments after my expired session.  Then I though that I would have to retract my post.  It turns out that, like many other members, I didn't get credit.   :(

The good news is, I moved on to other surveys and did well.  I like happy endings; I try to make happy endings.   :)

Opinion Central has gotten on my last nerve. I, too, have attempted to complete a survey through them and experienced the dreaded "Your Session Has Expired" notice. However, I haven't actually received credit. Grr.

I have gotten that a couple times. I think it is there way or another way of saying you don't qualify.  >:(

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.  In my recent experience, there was no logical way that my time should have expired.  I was in front of my computer and never left.  All of the questions were answered accurately and quickly without rushing - just the way survey companies like it.   ???
