Yes, I plan on dropping off some goods to a local grocery store tomorrow. It's all about people helping people and I would like to think that if I needed help I could rely on others making donations.

Our village actually had a drive so I donated old clothes, blankets and water.  I would rather do this as you never know where the money is going.

I went shopping this past weekend and every store that I was in was collecting for the hurricane relief.  I donated each time.
Have a wonderful day!

already have,,,   sent canned & boxed foods,   blankets, pillows,,, baby items and baby foods.  Clothing you should not send,,  not enough time to sort it all.  Gift cards are good,,,  they can always use them.  Our local church (ohio)  is sending a group down to help.  They will do a good job

If I had money to do so I would. I have donated to things like that in the past. Right now I have no income.

My intentions are there, but the finances aren't.  ln the past I always donated for relief efforts such as this.

I donated through Samaritan's Purse.  There was a link to donate on my daily PTC page on the weather link.  I chose Samaritan's Purse because I am familiar with that group

I did so on my phone per my aunt's request.

She and my uncle are down there and just starting to get back into their home. She sent a video of the devastation around them.  :(

My wife and I had already donated through our local KIMA TV Station through Salvation Army. It is great that there are different places around my hometown who are willing to send help through monetary support. The Local Salvation army are asking us to donate monetary instead of items because it costs more to take them to the people affected my this storm. But our own area has been destroyed by fire and smoke even the people of Montana and Oregon are suffering from wild fires.

We US citizens, will all be donating once the total damages have been assessed. Government assistance should work out to about five thousand dollars per damaged household. Most of Houston was in a flood plain that would have required flood insurance but many homeowners opted to ignore notifications, informing them of their requirement to carry flood insurance, from their lenders. Flood insurance in Houston was less than one thousand dollars a year. Their choice to save a few dollars and ignore the mortgage requirements, many houses will now be worthless which will leave the lenders with unsecured loans (more prone to defaults). Just as citizens bailed out over leveraged insurance companies and the non performing Auto industry, so shall they pick up the tab for the Houston Greed. I will donate time but not money at this time.

Did at Walmart the other day and will again as long as they are collecting, it is not much at a time. But every bit helps. Also  took a lot of things in that are being needed at the charity where I volunteer,  We spent all day packing up clothing soaps, toothpaste, toothbrushes and such for the truck coming through today. Most non-profit charities along with  churches are donating in our state.
