It's September 1 2017, when do you start your Christmas shopping?

When I was into Christmas shopping, I would usually start when there were good sales.  I noticed that there are Ads that have already that started in June 2017.  Once upon a time, I truly enjoyed the Holidays-not any more.

My birthday is at the end of November so I refuse to shop too early for Christmas until I get some birthday fun in

I have one Christmas gift purchased. I wasn't shopping for Christmas, but saw something that I knew my niece would love, so I bought it.

The Halloween shopping just start, maybe another month for Christmas shopping

I will start shopping sometime in November. I want to treat myself for my upcoming birthday first.

probably around november after i get through with birthdays..we have them in aug,sept,oct,nov,dec,jan,mar..that's immediate family...with nieces and nephews we have all months covered..a few times over

The question is when do you stop Christmas shopping. If I see a special something, around springtime or summertime or on the road trip, really can't find this special at a Christmas sale. The Bacon, Strawberry, Asparagus, Crawdad and the Corncob festival, with our state and county fair, always watching out for stocking stuffers lol.

I used to shop all thru the year for Christmas but this year I am way behind due to health and financial reasons. Christmas is going to be slim at my house this year.

Sorry to here that the holiday has lost it's luster for you. Some would ask if the true nature of the holiday had been lost as the focus seems to have shifted to the materialistic definition of the holiday. I have tried to have my family concentrate on love, being together, helping others and being grateful (on a daily basis) for all the blessings they have. I always incorporate one gift that highlights a charity, make a donation in the name of each family member (living and dead), and provide a description of the demographic being helped by the contribution. I ask everyone to take a moment to empathize with those in need and picture the good that can come from any donation. I also encourage each family member to make a like contribution to a charity of their choice.

I do 90% of all shopping online so I'm always on the lookout for something that might be a perfect Christmas gift all year.  But I get serious about it during the month of September.   I love Christmas and I love being able to give people the perfect gift.   The perfect gift isn't always a top dollar item.   I love everything about Christmas, including the shopping.

Oh, my goodness, I don't even want to think about Christmas yet.  I want to enjoy the Fall and the leaves and the crispness of cool nights and blankets on the bed.  See---I detest winter and I associate Christmas with the beginning of winter.  I have few Christmas presents to buy anymore and I buy them all during the first 2-3 weeks of November and have it over with.  Going to the stores beyond Thanksgiving weekend is no fun at all for me any more!
