Athletes not standing for flag
« on: August 24, 2017, 05:43:51 pm »
Seems to be a lot more prevalent lately.

My take on it.I passed my army physical back in 70/71 with flying colors.Pres Nixon at the time implemented a birthday lottery and if you day got picked early your chances getting drafted were good.My BD fell right in the middle around 160ish and i never got bothered.I was fortunate.Vietnam was going strong.

Dickie Smothers summed it up on their TV show right before he introduced a song written by the Association called "Requiem for the Masses".He said it was a moving tribute for those that have died.....without knowing why.It can be viewed on Youtube for those interested. The year was around 1967.

Jesus said to Pay Gods things to God and pay Caesar back his things. You can love God and your neighbor, pay your taxes and be a law abiding citizen. He also said those that use the sword will die by it.You can remain neutral with all the garbage that this satanic manmade system creates and stand honorable before Jehovah and his son.

I dont know all the individuals reasons for not worshipping the flag, but i do know what Rev 4:11 reads

Revelation 4:11 reads: “You are worthy, Jehovah our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will ...they existed

Thanx

I find it disgusting. By not respecting the flag, they are not only disrespecting the flag and our country but are also disrespecting the men who fought for our country and are still fighting for our country.

Those athletes should be glad for the freedom to make the millions of $$ they make in sports. It's also a shame that they do this because these athletes are considered role models for young kids. What does that tell these kids? That our country isn't worthy of respect and they should only respect those jerks?

In other countries, you'd be executed on the spot as an example for treason!

Go take a look whats going on in Russia right now RE the preaching work of Jehovahs organization.Houses burned, arrests, meetings banned etc.All for doing Gods will. But remember they killed Jesus and the followers were also persecuted. Also remember what God will do for a people for HIS name.Read the book of Exodus and see how God buried the Egyptians for mistreating His people. When HIS people get hurt its like touching Gods eyeball.

Zech 2:8 He that is touching you is touching my eyeball

Who cares, freedom is just that freedom! If you have issues with this then you are against our freedom

It's nonsense yes, but of course your reply to my comment is nonsense as well. If it bothers you that bad do not watch sports or sports news!

So basically your whole debate is on the soldiers who have died? I am confused by your wording on all of this. No, soldiers who fought in the wars our government found greedy enough to pursue (oil & drugs but that is my personal opinion) Hell no they were not free and the draft was sickening & sad to say the least, people had no choice to die or kill for the government! The government makes us believe we are the free nation, but sadly that is not the case.

Its a combination of a lot of things. The US isnt the only country that has rich athletes.I say that because many get on their case and think the US is the only place to earn that kind of living. That isnt true.Go look at the owner of the NJ Nets.Dont get me wrong many of these athletes arent worth it either.I  am tired hearing we have freedom or god bless america. This country is a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah. Not that the rest of this world is angelic either..

If i am right,Kaepernick decided not to stand before the flag because of the way blacks are treated and the police brutality goin on here. Many have made a big deal of that because they are full of nationalism.I dont wanna repeat myself but you can check past posts of mine and see that i feel the US isnt the reason why i exist. But i also said you can follow the example Jesus gave paying taxes, being kind etc.

The word freedom is exaggerated in this country thats why i used the wars to show how dumb it is.The whole truth to why this world is in shape its in cos man wanted his independence from Creator and the Creator has let it go on to show without HIS governing man will fail.History backs that up.But many are USA rah rahs and even go far to say god bless america which is a joke in itself when the bible tells us God isnt partial.

Again i dont know the stand behind other athletes that have followed Kaepernicks actions.I just seem to know his.Just because one doesnt worship the flag doesnt make it wrong. You can still follow Jesus words. And to the many that claim to support bible but dont have a clue there are examples when mans law compromises Gods the apostle Peter said we must obey God as ruler rather then man.

Thanx.....hope i was clear on this and i am glad you saw what a waste of lives those wars were and will continue to be as long as man governs with Satan.

It actually does not bother me in the slightest if they refuse to stand for the flag. It is, after all their right: freedom of expression (to a certain extent). Now, burning the flag is an entirely different issue for me. But I will stick with the intent of this thread.

Everyone should stand for the Star Spangled Banner. It is a matter of respect for our country.
