hmm, it depends on my mood but i love a good buffet.
its usually a better value for the amount of food you get.

...i've known people with serious phobias of buffets though.
they don't know what they're missing out on :(
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

Buffets are definately a better value but I think that causes many of us to overeat!!!

Every time I go to a buffet, I just think about all the people that were there before me doing who knows what to the food I'm about to eat!  LOL!!  Even just a sneeze or a cough-it's gross!!  Some buffets are better taken care of, though, so those I don't mind quite as much.  Still-YUCK!  (Plus it gives you the ability to WAY overeat!)

I prefer the buffets because of the get what you want and all yiou can eat features. Also, you don't have to wait for your food. The downside are those which have no sneeze-guards or appear dirty. I avoid these.

We do both buffets and sit down full service resturants, but I prefer the full service. The buffets around here are getting way too expensive and the food is not always fresh. Plus with the buffets we usually eat so much we are miserable for hours afterwards because we over eat. I have tried to do more cooking at home and we seem to feel better. We know who has handled the food and all the processes it has gone through. We are not health buffs, but we do need to be more conscious of what we eat for our health and weight.

Cici's Pizza Buffet is by far the best pizza for me.  For about $17, my husband, my son and myself can have all the Pizza, Pasta, Salad Bar, Dessert and Drink we would like and it's GooOoOoOd food too, not like some other buffets I've visited.  There aren't many around, but if you can find one and like pizza, try it ... my 2 favorites there - Pepperoni Flip and Deep Dish Zesty Pepperoni!

(Oh, best thing about this place, included in your buffet, if you would like a special order pizza, just walk up to the counter and ask for one.  They take it right to your table in 5 minutes!!)
I don't have no enemies, but if you test me I will retaliate.

I prefer a sit-down restaurant because I like to get a glass of wine with my meal. Most buffets near me are all family-style home cooking...ok if that's what you like...but I like spicy foods and food cooked to order.

Buffets are usually a waste of money for me, since for about the price of a standard meal, it's 'all you can eat'. Well, I can't even finish a standard meal - I'm guaranteed to have about 1/2 of my meal wrapped and taken home! It'd be nice if buffets let you take some home, but of course that'd end up with everyone taking food home, and they'd lose money.

Yeah, of course we enjoy once in a while a nice sit down dinner, my husband and myself, when our son is with relatives.  Nice glass of wine, quite elegant dinner ... but with financial situations the way they are, if i don't cook at home, Cici's is filling and yummy for the entire family hehe =D

I only like some buffets that, like others said, aren't too dirty.
cicis, sweet tomatoes, etc. :)

I like them both, but I think I prefer the buffet so that I can have a variety of things at one time.
